Funding for energy research and development
Funding is available for those focusing on the creation and establishment of technologies to adapt current energy systems into a more sustainable, competitive and secure resources.
€2.35bn is dedicated over seven years to funding research, development and demonstration activities. The involvement of businesses is strongly encouraged as at least 15% of the total funding amount is targeted towards them.
Businesses are entitled to funding which covers a maximum of 75% of the costs of their R&D activities, whereas up to 100% of management and training activities can be funded.
All projects must be transnational, and so you are required to work in partnership with other companies or research institutes based elsewhere in the EU.
