Funding for health and biotechnology
If you are a high-tech business involved in healthcare, biotechnology and medical technologies – this funding could be for you.
FP7 funding for health is aimed at:
- promoting good health
- preventing and treating major diseases
- delivering health care with specific attention to translational research (the translation of basic discoveries into clinical application)
Of the €6bn dedicated to this funding stream, the share going to businesses is expected to be at least 15% or €900m – so your involvement is strongly encouraged.
Typical projects can access up to €3m, and businesses can finance up to 75% of their R&D costs and 100% of their management costs.
All projects have to be transnational and so you are required to work in partnership with other companies or research institutes based elsewhere in the EU.
