Do business in Europe: spotlight on Turkey

The fast-growing Turkish economy offers plenty of opportunities for foreign investors and exporters. In particular there are good opportunities in the environmental & electronical equipment sector, health care management & consultancy, and engineering products.

When doing business in Turkey bear in mind that it has a hierarchical business environment; sending the top person from your company to meet with the top person in the Turkish counterpart indicates how much you value the prospective business. Personal relationships are furthermore crucial and it is customary to shake hands when meeting, and present business cards with both hands.

Our country profiles are compiled by the London Chamber of Commerce & Industry and provide information on the countries' history, government, economy and industrial sectors, business opportunities, and how to set up a company. Please visit www.londonchamber.co.uk/europe or email europe@londonchamber.co.uk for further profiles.
