There are 51 new open calls for proposals under the Seventh Framework Programme, FP7. This programme supports collaborative projects which focus on research and development in the following subject areas:

Environment
Shell Springboard is offering a financial boost of up to £40,000 for a small number of UK businesses who submit the most compelling plans for a product or service which helps combat climate change.
Proposal deadlines: Applications for proposals must be submitted by 5th November 2010.
Media
The Media Mundus Programme supports cooperative projects between European professionals and professionals from third-world countries, to the mutual benefit of the both parties.
Proposal deadlines: proposals are due by 15th October 2010.

Revision of the Measuring Instruments Directive EU consultation This consultation seeks to gather views on the implementation of the Measuring Instruments Directive in view of the upcoming Commission report on its functioning. Stakeholders are invited to submit suggestions for possible changes, which the Commission might take into account when drafting the revision of the Directive.
Environment:
Role of EU agriculture and forestry in fighting climate change EC consultation The objective of this consultation is to collect views from citizens, organisations and public authorities on how land use activities may contribute to climate change mitigation.
Information Society:
Re-use of public sector information EC consultation Revision of the Public Sector Information (PSI) Directive is a key priority of EU’s new Digital Agenda. This consultation will therefore contribute to the discussions on possible policy options and review of the PSI Directive.
Transport:
Revision of rules on allocation of slots at Community airports EC consultation The aim of this consultation is to assess the effectiveness of the current Regulation that governs the mechanism for the allocation of capacity at congested airports. The collected information will be used in an impact assessment evaluating possible changes to the Regulation.
